Default Dashboard replacement

The dashboard in my wife’s 05 rx330 has started to disintegrate. Does anybody know if the service recall is still in effect?

No. It was a 10 year extended warranty that for you ended in 2015. A recall is something different.

If you were a registered Lexus owner, you would have received an extended warranty on the dashboard. Otherwise if you walked into the dealership and showed your dashboard cracks, they could have initiated a claim. Sorry that the extended warranty is over. There was a period where you needed to fall in the Q. I had my RX and IS dashboard replaced, including 2 door panels in the front for the IS. My IS Cabin looks brand new. Hats off to Toyota for taking good care of their customers.

Thumbs up 10 year?

I had just read an article about this yesterday that stated that Lexus had an end-date of May 2017, the implication being "irrespective of the in-service date". Is that not true?
I ask because I just looked at a low mileage '09 yesterday that has a badly cracked up dash, and had thought about making an offer 'til I read the article... Can someone clarify or point me to the TSB. I obviously would not be the Original owner, but am willing to go through the fixes [there are several] if the money makes sense.

A Lexus Tech friend told me that it takes him 3 hours to do the job. Get a quote from a Lexus dealer and then you can decide it makes sense to get the 09 with the bad dashboard.
