Disable rain sensor for manual intermittent wiper control
I've read that it's possible to disable the rain sensor on an rx 330 allowing for manual intermittent wiper control through the auto + & - setting. Has anyone done this and can you explain how? I'm reluctant to shell out big bucks at the dealer just for it to not function great.

Going from memory of working on the sensor a few years ago, disconnecting the rain sensor at the windshield causes the wiper system to revert to manual intermittent. There is a plug you disconnect inside the sensor module on the windshield.

Appreciate the reply. I hope this works. I did call the dealer service dept who told me there was absolutely no way to have intermittent wiper function without the rain sensor and that if you're unfortunate enough to have replaced the windshield with non-oem the sensor won't work well regardless. Not sure if this is the dealership looking to make money or simply not knowing that there may be an alternative.
