Drive belt replacement.
When do you guys typically replace the drive belt. I have a little over 135,000 miles on our 07 RX350 and the Lexus specialty shop in my area today said they don’t really see these belts break and normally only replace them if they are doing other work and it’s bascially free labor to repair. They didn’t suggest replacing it at this time.
Do you guys agree with this? 135k on a belt seems like a long time. I don’t want whoever is driving the car to get stranded somewhere.

Since the serpentine belts are so cheap and easy to replace, I try to replace them around every 60K to 80K intervals on all my cars. When I did my timing belt on my RX I did both drive belts with it (not sure if the 350 uses one or two like the 330) which cost me about $30 for both (OEM Toyota).

Replace it. It's cheap. Stick the old one in the rear compartment in case you need a spare.
My idler pulleys are making noise at 140K so I'm replacing those also.

The 350 engine does not use a timing belt, it is a chain that does not need to be replaced.
The only belt is the one that runs the alternator, a/c compressor, etc.
