2004 Rx330 slow acceleration
I have a 04' rx330(3.3L AWD/ 115k miles) and I have noticed that when I press the gas it feels like it takes forever for the car to speed up Under normal driving conditions.it feels like the car is struggling to move ( RPM goes arround 2000 or up because if I don't accelerate it enough the car, it feels like the car struggles and is sluggish) after it does speed up arround 20+ or 30+ mph its all fine and everything. People are saying it's a Lexus design flaw and can't be fixed . I can feel it downshift it jerks the car but it happens to regular cars I think? But I did research and people say it's from the transmission switching from 1st gear to 2nd and the emc needs to be recalabrated but I don't know. My dad owns a Toyota van 3.3L same engine but the van is FWD and it acclerates normally ,But this Lexus it's like you can hear the engine struggling when I barely try to speed from a stop.
these are the links I found the most info from -

If someone can help me so I can go to the delar and not get ripped off . in serious hand I want to solve this issue Because it's a great car. Thank you to anyone that helps

What is the maintenance like on your transmission? How often do you drain & fill or flush it? Have you ever changed the filter?
As your link mentions, the recalibration is because the transmissions tries to learn your driving style and adjust to optimize it. Sometimes it over does it, as does mine. You can reset it simply by removing the battery (know that this causes everything electronic to reset including the windows) but eventually you'll be back to square 1 when it re-learns your driving style. On other Toyota's I've maintained, I've noticed the same thing, transmission functions smoother than my RX330. Probably should of went with a RX350 but that discussion is for another day.

the air filter is white and looks brand-new. But I can't tell what's causing it to acclerate slow.

Was it like this from the time you bought the car, or it developed during your ownership?
Was it sudden change or slow build up?
Is there a jerk in transmission when it shifts into higher gear?
Vehicle should pick up after about 1 second of hesitation, of course, depends how hard you press on gas pedal.
You are either stuck in lower gear till you reach 30mph and then it shifts and goes, or don't have enough fuel or don't have enough air, or your ECM does not know what you want car to do. Can be as simple as clogged fuel injectors, clogged air filter or faulty throttle position sensor.
So start with simple - check out air filter. The rest requires specific knowledge.
