power window reset
#2
Obviously to start you need a Battery in better than average condition....
To reset all Power Windows from the Manual...
If the battery is disconnected or run down
The power window may not operate automatically and the jam
protection function will not function correctly after you
reconnect, replace or recharge the battery. At this time, the
indicator lights of the switches will flash. In any of these cases,
you should normalize the power window on each door.
To normalize the power windows:
1. Push down the power window switch of each door and lower
the windows halfway.
2. Pull up the switch until the windows close and hold the
switch for a second.
Make sure that the windows open and close automatically. If
the power windows cannot be operated properly, have it
checked by your Lexus dealer.

Check the driver's side door too for the window block button- its a little square button that can be pushed to stop rear occupants (kids) from rolling windows down-make sure it's not engaged. Moonroof and rear hatch will need reinitialized too-check your manual for instructions.

It's in your manual, but I'll try and help off memory. For sunroof, its a little weird as you will hold tilt open IIRC. Keep holding it and it tilts open, then close, then opens sunroof all the way then closes. Again check your manual, but it's something like that. For seats and mirrors, adjust them as you like then hold the 1 or 2 key for which ever you are setting on driver door then hit set. It will beep. Check your manual for re-initialization after battery power loss. It's in there as well as other really key things you should know about your car. Really good manual.

Power window reset again and again and ...
I am having this problem repeatedly. I reset the windows and they work for a week or 2, but then stop again.
Does anyone have an idea what might cause this? Everything else in the car appears to
work normally, just the power windows sporadically reset.

Cheers.

I'm guessing the fault is probably between the battery and the driver door window control module?

I suppose the only ways to find out is with a honest electrical auto mechanic or an appropriate expensive scanner.
I have been fortunate with the electrical system so far with my RX 05, although in 16 years parts take their toll with rust,
wear & vibration.
