Rear Emblems
Anyone know if the rear Lexus and RX 330 emblems have any kind of guide pins behind them? I'm thinking of removing them for a cleaner look. Over the years I've also found that it makes waxing and polishing much easier. Thanks.

The Lexus RX300 signs are only glued.... but careful, once taken off you can put them back, they will most likely brake or bend once taken off. You will need to buy a new set, which doesn’t come cheap!!!
And to remove the old glue left on the boned is another story…
The Emblem (L) got 4 small pin’s (rubber) you can very carefully remove the Emblem and putting it back… but again…it wouldn’t do any good to take it off and on all the times….

The L emblem on the back of my '01 rx300 has two plastic pins . I'm holding it my hand because I mistakingly replaced the chrome one with a gold one. The gold finish weathered badly and when I tried to polish it the gold came off. At the moment I have a two tone emblem until I pull it off.

Should not be any problem, to remove the glue you should rub it off with your finger nail and using some thinner to remove the stain on the boned.
Good luck man and enjoy your ride

Yes, I removed the LEXUS on the left side and the RX 330 on the right side in about 3 minutes. It took me about 2 minutes to pull off the adhesive left behind. The good thing is that because the car is still new, the adhesive didn't have time to really bond so it practically pulled right off. A quick wax and you can't tell there were any emblems there at all. Total time was a little over 5 minutes including the wax
