I finally got around to debadging the the GX. I guess living on a HOT island has its advantages... it was very hot today, so I started taking off the badges. Surprisingly they came off in about 15 min total. I used Oral B mint floss and they came off with so much ease. A little mothers cleaner wax and all residue came off with ease as well. Anyway, here are a couple of shots of the progress. 1st - V8 gone. 2nd - Lexus gone. 3rd - GX470 gone. 4th - all gone and 5th black pearl L. I ran out of time to put the lexus and GX470 black pearl emblems on - had to go to a bar-b-q - so I'll be driving with just the L for now. I will definitely NOT put the V8 black pearl emblem on.

Do a search in the forums area for black pearl emblems. Its been done before on other vehicles. I'm not sure if its been done on an SUV.

Looks great. I think Black Pearl emblems look the best on silver vehicles.
