Default Question about console "adapter" or "organizer"

Hi all,

I have a new-to-me 2008 RX 350. Inside the center console is an "organizer" or "adapter tray" (See here for image.)

Mine is inside the console, but it is "loose." If I bump it with my hand or something, it moves around inside the console (not really side-to-side, but definiately front to back...like it can fall over inside the console without too much effort.)

Is it supposed to be secured in the console somehow, or is it supposed to just sit in there?

Should be secure. Mine doesn't move. I didn't even know it was removable.

Interesting. When I remove mine, I can feel what appears to be a small hole in the console wall (closest to the front of the car.) I was wondering if something used to be there to "secure" the adapter tray somehow. I may just add some velcro and call it a day, or remove the thing entirely.

Anyone else have suggestions on how to attach it like it was from the factory, or if there was some kind of factory "attachment" there previously?
