Default Battery Size?

What's the OEM battery size for a second gen RX350?

Had to jump start the car yesterday after not driving it for two days. it also didn't start again today.

it was a Nissan battery purchased at one of their dealerships 3.5 years ago... not too bad i guess, but planning to run to Costco after work.

My searches have come back that oem size is either a 24F or 35... which one is it? what's the biggest battery that can fit in our cars? I live in the northeast and as it gets cold, CCA is very important for me

update: Picked up an interstate 24f from Costco. They stopped selling Kirkland brand batteries!! Warranty is 48 month for a full refund for the interstate. Kirkland was made by Johnson controls, wonder if interstate is also

I'm currently using an Optima 35. It has 720 CCA. The stock battery lasted three years and the replacement Interstate lasted three and a half. Hoping the Optima will last longer than those.

i have a costco battery, its great. they have a book to help you pick the right one out.

if your old one isnt completely shot. get a trickle charger and use it as a back up / booster.

24F is the specified one. 24F is slightly shorter. Group 35 fits too with some washers added to the hold down. Other than that, it works.

Walmart , EverStart MAXX-24FN . 750 CCA. It's a high quality battery that's received very good reviews. Made by Johnson Controls.

Exact fit, 3 year warranty. Here in NY, it was $85.00 + $5.00 core deposit.

Got my 35 from Costco. Costco no longer sells the Kirkland Brand (which is made by Johnson Controls). I forgot what brand they carry now. Prices have been creeping up though. Maybe Wallyworld is the better option.

Thanks for asking, it took 5 weeks and 1 trip back, but it has been done and am happy with the result. I had a fading trim (the one on top of the chrome strip above the plate) that was re-painted. So everything looks OEM in the back.

Was at Costco yesterday and they have switched over to Interstate Batteries. I saw the 24F @ $82 plus core charge. Not bad for a full 3 year warranty and the extended partial warranty to 6 years.

Batteries have changed for the better in the last few years. As long as you keep the terminals clean and use a trickle charger if the car is not a daily driver, you will be good for at least 5 years.
