Default side mirror replacement quick question

My passenger mirror functions just fine, except the glass is hosed because something happened to it that makes the glass completely "tinted" and it's annoying as all hell.

If I buy one of these replacement mirrors on ebay that is power/memory/heated but not auto-dimming, is that a plug and play type deal?

I have never bought anything off of ebay for a car, I like to hold what I'm buying before I do, but for $80, I can hardly beat it.

Based on my calls this morning, not a salvage yard in the area has one of these.

Has anyone replaced one and is it plug and play?

Btw, it's an '04 RX330.

Thanks!

sorry, no answer for you. search function found your thread for side mirror questions, so I'm piggy backing on it.

due to some auto hating architect's idea of what constitutes sufficient spaces for a below-building parking garage, I managed to mangle my 2006 RX330 driver's side mirror. 9999 times out of 10 thousand, the darn thing would fold backwards (or forward). On that day, it somehow compressed and cracked not only the housing but the glass as well. First time for everything, I guess.

I'm also looking at evilbay for car parts. As far as I can tell, the memory is that driver's position setting memory thing, right? Next question, auto-dimming, I'm 99.99% sure this car has it as well. My options have been quite limited due to this.

I can readily get just the memory & auto-dimming glass. Can I get the whole side mirror with the glass that doesn't have auto-dim and swap that out for glass that does? Is it a different cable or are both plug and play?

thanks in advance.

You can do a deeper search on Fleabay (ebay) there are some salvage yards that will come up. (for example if you do a search on driver seat etc.) Sometimes they even have their phone numbers. Contact them directly before ordering the part, sometimes you can just order from them directly skipping eBay.
