Own a 2006 lexus rx330. headlight bulb works occasionally. Replaced bulb and still works only occasionally. Is there a short somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.
You do not mention which headlight system you have -- Halogen, HID or HID w/AFS?
There is a known condensation problem with the headlights on the 2nd Generation RX. Perhaps yours have gotten to the point when the water intrusion has caused corrosion and/or possibly ruined a ballast. If you use the search features for the forums here at CL you will find a number of existing threads on this topic. There is also a DIY sticky on the front page of this forum section which includes information on how to reseal your headlights. However, that would be after you have things working as they should.
Let us know what you have and perhaps others will chime in with more details of help.
Leegs, you don't have a short somewhere. The definition of a 'short' is "A powered circuit shorted to the ground terminal." If you had a 'short' you would be blowing the fuse. What you have is called "An intermittent open circuit"
