Default blackout headlight question

hello clublexus, so i am planning to blackout my headlights, i looked around found out some info like 200f in oven for 10 minutes and it seems its ok to keep all the wiring of the headlight while baking my headlight to pry it open. the question i have is if it was ok to leave my oem hid ballast connected to the headlight and bake it with my headlight. Also what are your best methods in opening the headlight so that the headlight dont warp easy.

Thankyou
BB~

just make sure "ALL" the bulbs are out including the hid's, leaving the ballast and the part that connects to the hid bulb is fine. I use a flat head and tried to pry carefully then use your kung fu grip to separate the lens. hope that helped :]
