My 2006 RX400h has lots of condensation in the driver side headlight. I have a fe questions:

1. How long do I approximately have before the ballast gets fried?

2. I know Lexus has had problem with the headlights in the past so I was wondering if there is TSB out there for the RX400h headlights.

3. Will Lexus replace the headlight under a CPO warranty?

4. If I replace the headlight what is the part number for the RX 400h headlight with AFS? I know Lexus makes 4 different headlights lights for the RX 2nf gen model:
1. Halogen headlight found on the base RX330 & 350.
2. HID headlight with Auto Leveling
3. HID headlight with AFS (Adaptive Front Steering, aka headlights turn)
4. Blue Tint HID headlight with AFS found on 2008-2010 400h & 350.

 

i would figure it's covered under CPO warranty..

 

Do not be surprised if the dealership is hesitant to do so. You may need to be firm with them and perhaps even contact Lexus Customer Service to get corporate involved. Hopefully, it will not come to that.
