no master key
no master key
Just bought a 2008rx400h...no master key only valet key. What is least expensive way to go.

I contacted Lexus and they were going to charge me about $400 for a new master key. I decided to have a remote starter installed instead. I paid $450 (installed) and it came with two fob's that start the car, unlock the doors and activate the power hatch.

Welcome to Club Lexus stevlin. Use the "search this forum" feature, it has been discussed before. If you don't have the little metal tag with the key code, Lexus can give you the key code for the vehicle. You will need your VIN and proof of ownership. The parts department can look up the code for you. There is a seller on ebay 1010keys who can cut a new one for you at a very reasonable price.

Thank's for your recommendations for having master key made...now what's the best way to get and install updated maps for GPS. I have a 2008rx400h..thank's in advance.
