RX350 - 2009 - ARM REST Stuck Backwards
Hello,
I was had he arm rest turned up on the driver side. My son accidentally pushed the arm rest (so it is now 180 degree turned) and it is stuck backwards (close) to knee of passengers riding in the back. Is there a way to move the arm rest back to be on the driver side.
Regards
Anil

Welcome to Club Lexus, apeer.
On the side of the armrest at the pivot is a circular cap. That pulls straight off. Underneath you will see a nut and bolt holding on the armrest. Would take a ratchet and socket to loosen that and return the armrest to its proper position before tightening and the replacing the cap.

Hello,
I am sorry for delaying in getting back to you. I tried to pry the cap on the handle and it seems to be locked on tight. Is there any retainer screw or a cir-clip in place that is holding this cap? OR i just need to pull harder.
Regards
Anil

If you look at the JJ Products web pages (jjproducts.net, I think) you will get some instructions on how to replace the standard arm rest (2nd Gen) with their wide arm rest. I have their replacement, and have taken the original one off. The notes above are correct. If you pry off the cap over the pivot point, you will be able to see the nut holding the arm rest in place. A socket set with an extender is helpful to easily turn the bolt.
