I own an 04 RX330 with 47k and an 06 4Runner Limited with 63k miles (original owner). Went to the 4Runner from the Sienna van and was concerned that the ride quality would be much worse. It has been very nice. The only repair it's needed is 1 tire pressure sensor. That's it.
My Limited has the JBL upgraded stereo so the stock to stock radio comparison may not be an issue.
Just inherited the RX from the inlaws but they were the only owners. I've only driven it once so I can't compare the 2. However both side mirrors need new actuators and there have been other issues with the vehicle.

We've had a 2006 4Runner SR5 RWD V8 for a little over 3 years (bought used with just 19K on the clock) and I've had to do nothing other than regular maintenance, very durable vehicle. When I originally got my RX300 back in January 2002, I had considered a 4Runner, but then heard that a newer version was going to come out in October (2003 model year) and wound up getting the RX300. I knew several people who had them when they eventually came to Mexico and never an issue with their vehicles, arguably one of the most reliable SUVs you can find and it was also very good relative to insurance costs.

On the 4Runner, I actually came to the conclusion when we were looking for them, to buy a 2005 model or later (different features / capabilities) came into play there.

I can't tell you one way or the other on this one.
