2nd report on these tires purchased past summer and now have about 7K miles on them.

My daughter drives 50 mles per day to college in mostly dry conditions (some monsoons, too)

She loves them and says they're quiet ride better than "her old ones"

I've put some miles on them too and here's my take:

1) Smooth most of the time..still some distant harshness over rougher patches
2) Handles better than expected. Not a Miata, but I feel comfortable plowing fast into curves
3) Gets better MPG (2 MPG) better than stocks
4) Biggest thing: rain. No problems in rutted roads that invite sever hydroplanning.

Basically I'm glad I bought these for her, they did cost more than I was planning but I only have 1 daughter.

Postscript: despite her claims they're quieter, they're really not. But they're not loud by any stretch of the imagination

By stock, do you mean the Dunlop stuff?

Also surprised to hear that they aren't actually quieter.
That's supposed to be one of their best qualities, according to other reports I read.

OEM's were BS Alenzas. To me, they were really quiet and easy riding.

Still, don't get me wrong, they ride wonderfully but the OEM's were slightly better. Its a nice tradeoff for better handling and MPG

Could depend on at what point you're comparing the tires. It's very common for new tires to be quieter than the (old and worn) tires they're replacing, regardless of the specific tires in question.

Does anyone know how these are compared to the Michelin MXM4? I'm always happy with the Michelin but was presented with these Verde. I looked into them and they seem to have very high rating and good reviews even better than the Michelin.

Please share your experience. I plan to replace all four.

Could be due to proper tire pressures with the new install, properly balanced [which is why i have my balancing checked every year for every set of tires]... less rolling resistance vs. precious ones.

It's plausible, but very subjective, as we don't know what the prior tires were really like.
