Default Rear window wiper not working

Hello,
I'm looking for a little assistance. Three weeks ago I had my RX in for its 110K mile service and I had Aquarepel applied to the rear window as well as it get quite dirty.
My RX has sat for three weeks as I was away; last night while driving home from work I wanted to clean the rear window with the wiper. The fluid sprayed our but the wiper moved about 3 or 4 inches then stopped. Now its stuck in that position.
Any ideas,
Chris

this is the first complaint i`v heard re; the rear wiper. Or maybe I just didnt notice, anyway just double check your fuses along with the electrical connection to the rear wiper motor. If that is all good, the motor probably went bad. I doubt its your wiper switch, although thats always a possibility too.

Thank you for your advice, which I took. All of the fuses are fine. I believe its the motor; when I turn the switch I hear a click by the rear wiper.
I will update when I have time to get this looked at

So have not made it to dealer yet. Today it was raining heavily; out of habit I turned on the rear-wiper. To my amazement the wiper moved the 12 o'clock position and did a full rotation, very slowly. I turned the wiper off as I think I used my lucky card there.
I still have no idea what the problem is but at least my view is no longer obstructed which was driving me crazy

Sometimes when it sits without being used for a while it gets stuck
Try a bit of dw 40 with a little hand pressure

If that does not work test the power
Buy a dc tested at the local hardware or autozone store
find the motor cover under the panel

turn the switch on and test if there is power
if there is power then the switch is fine and the motor may be going

Hope that helps

Thank you for your advice; this is well above my knowledge level. If possible could you expand on this?

Sounds like what happens with Jeep Grand Cherokees. Liquid and road grime work their way in past the seal and prevent the electrical contacts from making a consistent connection. It's not easy to get at the motor. But on my Jeep I disassembled mine and cleaned it out. It worked fione for another 50k miles until I sold it. You could try spraying an electrical cleaner at the seal where the shaft goes into the motor. But IDK if you can get enough in there to matter.

An Update:
The wiper continues to work now when I turn the switch. I hope it was just a matter of the rear wiper not being used while I was away. I will keep using it and post if something changes. Thanks to everyone for their advice and suggestions.
