Default Rear Window Washer Nozzle

Just looking for verification by some individuals that the rear window washer nozzle on my RX is functioning correctly. When activating the rear washer, the fluid comes out as a single stream down the middle of the window. Most of the fluid runs off the window by the time the wiper has had a chance to move it around and actually CLEAN the back window. It has always done this for us so we don't know any better.... but it becomes a game of cycling the squirter when the wiper is just about to pass the stream. I've tried to clean the nozzle head thinking their may be wax build-up or something else in there that is miss directing the spray.

I don't believe the pump is bad because the stream is strong.

Is this normal?

I think the year matters. My 2001 makes 2 drooling streams.
