Bought the wife an '08 AWD RX350....or as I like to call it....the Camry Wagon (she hates when I call it that ) for kid hauling but it doesn't have RSES. Now that the little one is getting too big to be an "infant in arms" as far as the airlines are concerned, and with #2 on the way, road trips seem to be in our future. I'm not a fan of "one size fits all" aftermarket audio/video preferring OEM/OEM+. And for kids DVDs I don't need SuperMegaUltra 3D Surround DTS Dolby 10.1 whatever. Has anybody successfully retrofit a non-RSES Camry Wagon with a salvaged RSES from a part-out? I'm not above tearing the interior apart and I once retrofit a DVD navi into my E46 M3, so I'm not worried about labor rates and bundles or wires don't scare me. I just want to know if it's relatively plug-and-play or are there idiosyncrasies such as different head units? I know DVD navi was required for RSES so hopefully that is in my favor.
