Hey guy`s, a funny thing (started yesterday)on the highway heading home. I was going around 62-65mph and in my rear view mirror noticed a vehicle coming up on me rather quickly. So I punched it to get moving a little , I could feel something going on (like it wanted to go) but it didnt feel like it was going any faster. Okay, I thought to myself, that was odd. Then this morning pulling out on to the the two lane Hwy, it acted like it wasnt responding correctly to the throttle? I have drive by wire, so I dont know if some sensor is going bad, or if it`s the transmission or what? Right now it`s intermittent which can be bad (hard to diagnose) no codes yet either. I am really concerned this thing will act up when trying to pull out in traffic, you guy`s have any clue what could be going on here?

Check for any pending CEL's.

Try resetting the ECU, have it relearn your driving habits.

^same thing I posted on bitog

EDIT: did the rpms actually change when you pressed the accelerator down further?

Had this problem with the GS300, the RPM's were moving all over the place and the car was going slower, and slower. Turns out it was the MAF and O2 Sensors. (Bank 1 I think)

Than probably a better chance of it being the O2 senors going out. Intermittent, you know?

But why would the 02 or the air fuel ratio sensor make it act like it was not responding? I cleared the ecm with my scanner. (there were no codes) just to see if it makes any difference. We`ll see what happens, I`m sure that if something is going out , I`ll know soon enough.

Another problem that could cause this is a loose throttle linkage bolt, under the cover, to the right of the manifold, I think. My SC400 had a loose linkage bolt and it made the car run like complete crap.
