While connecting my cell to the BT car system (which worked nicely), I noticed that it's possible to connect some others.
Now, I can't figure out what would happen if for instance I connect also my wife cell. I mean, obviously the system should recognise automatically my wife cell when she's driving alone (as it now does with mine), but what if we are together with both our cells?
Does the system connect to the first cell found according to the order shown in the list, or what?
I would like to know what to expect before giving it a try, if anyone has already done that.
Thanks in advance!
Yeah, me too!
Well, if nobody knows, I guess there's nothing to loose in just trying...
I'm not using the RX for a few days, but unless this will be clarified in the meantime, I'll pair a second mobile the next time I'll drive it, see what happens and post the result!
I have multiple bluetooth phones paired to my RX. The car will connect to the last phone that you MANUALLY select from your list. So if wife is using the car and I was the last one to have used it with my phone it will not automatically connect to her phone even though she has the only bluetooth phone in the car. She must still go into the bluetooth menu and select her phone as the one the car should use.
In other words, the car automatically connects only with one phones, even if it's possible to pre-pair multiple phones?
So, I guess that if your wife uses the car and selects manually her phone, you must re-select manually yours the next time you're driving?
That doesn't sound very clever...
But it is the fact even thought it is not clever. May be one day, the software can be made so that it automatically go through all phones paired and query which one the driver would like to use? I guess that current situation is industry best practice. I don't know how other cars behave.
