Hi,

I am looking to buy the ISimple ISTY571 to integrate my ipod/iphone/ipad to the Lexus RX 350 2009 with navigation.

Had a couple questions - will be great if someone answers.

a) Need a suggestion / recommendation if the isimple kit is better than Vaistech SL2i-UP. The reason why I am going for isimple is because it has AUX input too which Vais doesn't. I can then play my windows phone too. What feature does Vaistech has - i can see it is more expensive than others? I think Isimple can show up in the navigation screen too..etc.

b) I have seen a bunch of videos on how to fix the device. However, not one video that shows 'where' to place the device?! should the device go inside along with the factory CD changer? will there be space to accommodate?I assume only the ipod charging cable and aux cable should pop out into the glove compartment... any advice here would be great too...

Better is always subjective for any topic. If the VAIS adapter doesn't meet your needs without an additional aux input then it isn't better for you.

Don't know about videos but there are plenty of threads and guides where the interface module was placed in the console, under the shifter. You'd need to remove the side panels to do so.

Your call. Cable runs to a Panavise bracket and ProClip mount used to mount the iPhone in our RX. It's not a one-size-fits-all matter. If you're looking to keep it in the glove box then run the cable to the glove box.
