Front Lip Only decision
I have been contemplating for a while now to get a front lip for my RX (2nd gen). The issue has been to get a lip that will tie in with the car and also not to spend hundreds of dollars for just a front lip. To that end I have finalised the choices between the Rojam lip and the WALD lip. For those not sure what they look like, this is the Rojam.
This is WALD + 1 member's car with what looks to be a WALD full kit on
The Rojam is a lovely lip however for the amount of money they are charging is just too much of a stretch especially when you start talking shipping to Australia. So that really leaves me with the WALD lip (which I can get locally, well within the country).
My question though is, given that the WALD lip is "taller" (height-wise) than the Rojam, would it look silly for my car to just have the front lip on (so no side skirts, no rear skirt). I am having a tough time trying to see just how much it goes past the "level line" of the car (if measuring just above the place OEM sides under the doors). I am intending to paint it black anyway, and the purpose is to get rid of that "my car has been given an uppercut and the wind has changed" look.
Thoughts?

It's a WALD clone, so it is not genuine. The lip that I can get here is going to cost roughly $310 (Australian dollars) with a 14-day warranty for fitment, whereas the Rojam will cost just over $1000 to buy and then get delivered. There is a massive difference in price (although the Rojam one will fit exactly - you pay for what you get).

Well in my experience your paying for quality. Knock offs are never as good. My Wald kit fit was almost OEM and was fresh made for me. Can't beat that feeling.
If their kits works however I understand your reasoning.

Completely agree. I have lots of experience with knock-off kits and I have been luckier than most where the part has actually fitted without any modification.

Just paint that little part underneath your bumper and both the side and rear skirts and call it a day. It will save a lot of headache and it looks good.

I am trying to change the front shape of the bumper from the side, where I am tired of that specific look. It's far to angled for my taste and would like the front bumper squarer, hence the look out for the lip. I also have not seen any good examples of that front area painted that looks good.

Thanks adam8065. However that won't achieve what I am setting out to do. I have previously considered painting that section, but what I am trying to do is make the front end more "square" and bring the bottom of the front of the bumper to the front of the car. The angle of where the front bumper by the air dam is far to angular and I would like to square it off. I hope that makes sense.
