Default VIN not showing in Lexus Drivers

Hi all!

First time RX 350 owner, I bought a 2009 for my wife for our anniversary. I joined https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/home and put in our car's VIN, and it said it was invalid. I suspect it may be a database error on their site, but thought I would check here to see if anyone else has experienced this.

I'm having a great time browsing the forum!

Double check the VIN on the actual car, might have been written down improperly.

Maybe a letter was entered as a number or vice versa

Was going to say zeros and "O" can easily be confused.

the only zero is towards the end of the VIN, I double checked it against the car and it matches. Just odd that it doesn't show up.

Is it possible the car was originally sold in Canada? I don't think Lexus US has those numbers

EDIT: I just saw you are in Hawaii, I'm guessing Canadian sold cars are fairly rare there.

Could also be that they are having server issues over the weekend. Would not be the first time. Probably no one there to look in on things until Monday. Would wait until around noon your time on Monday and try entering again. If it fails, then you can give a call to corporate customer service to report the matter.

Call the 800 Lexus number, they will get it straightened out.

Have you verified the VIN on paper and the car?

Thanks for the tip groomerz! I checked the VIN with CarFax and it worked. Went back to Lexus Owners and it worked. So odd. It won't show me the vehicle history, but I do have the record from the dealer that I can put in.

Thanks again for your help guys!
