I received an email from Lexus announcing the 2011 Version 11.1 Navigation Map Upgrade DVD at a lower price. It went from $199 to $169. It still is overpriced in my opinion. I think many more Lexus owners would upgrade if they made the price a reasonable $99.

Have been waiting for this and watching Sewel, who gives us CL members a discount. Their discounted price; $165.92. Not much of a discount, but anything helps. they once provided refunds on previous year disks in trade, but no news on that yet.

I got the same email. I feel you on the pricing. If it was $100, I'd buy it but for now I'll stock to my droid gmap. I'm still running the original dvd from 08.

I agree, if it was $99. it would be a great deal and I know more people would upgrade than use other devices. Although I can't speak for Lexus, they probably feel that they don't want to devalue their product and still make a good profit.

I recently had a 2010 Rx loaner which had gen 6, which was a lot faster and also had type ahead, found address much more quickly. Just typed in a few letters and it would find it and ask you to confirm it, gen 5 you have to type the entire address for it not to find it. Made me hate gen 5 even more. When ever I look up addresses I have to enter the city before hand or it wouldn't find the address. I wish there was a way to add this to gen 5. If this upgrade included a firmware upgrade I would get it. I'm assuming that this is only a map update.
