Default 2nd gen RX clone

From China, as usual.

Powered by a 2.4L Mitsubishi engine producing 130-ish HP (That's less than a JDM-spec Toyota Harrier 2.4). Oh, and only available with a manual transmission.

Terrible fit and finish. Just look at the gaps.

Wonder if the headlights leak like its Toyota/Lexus cousin?

If it's that cheap looking on the outside, you can only imagine the inside and I mean the engine and transmission.

I'll wager if you're coming from a bike or a moped or a goat it looks pretty damn good! They could have ripped off any crossover in the world but chose to rip off ours, kind of a compliment in it's way.

I like the manual transmission...would have liked one of those in drag racing...or even a tiptronic.

The chinese are getting lazy. Their plan was to modify it a bit as to not make an exact replica. They started with the front bumper and gave it grills next to the fog lights but decided, "f this... lets just copy the whole thing..."

No matter how much I know about this subject I cannot help but feel insulted by this. They have been ripping off Toyota at every turn without any sign of ethical business practices for years now. Almost 100% rip off with lazy, horrible cheap crap end results even with there copy of the Scion xA/Toyota iSt back in 2008.

I'm wondering if that rear quarter window trim would fit the RX......... if it did it would be cheaper than buying direct from Lexus .........seeing's as it's a clone and all...

Bet it would! Not sure of the quality it would be though. Judging from the rest of the vehicle, I`m not sure I would want the trim piece from it.

If you look at the rear quarter view you can see a rear differential.

So it's an underpowered 4cyl, manual shift, rear drive ??? And look at the cheap looking dash and stalks. The front dash speaker looks cheesy too.

But hey like someone else said if you're used to goats or other Chinese and Russian made cars (the goats are the more dependable) it might spark some bank loans.

I bet most of them wind up as upscale taxis

If this is the best their reverse engineering departments can do we shouldn't fear their new Aircraft carrier too much.

Actually, the grills do look kind of neat. I like them. I am sure that, compared to a Lexus, this is a piece of ----, but, on a stand-alone basis, if the price is right and durability is good, it's a nice car for someone to have. I wonder if they will rip the 3rd gen. when the 4th gen. is introduced by Lexus?
