Quote: Actually, the grills do look kind of neat. I like them. I am sure that, compared to a Lexus, this is a piece of ----, but, on a stand-alone basis, if the price is right and durability is good, it's a nice car for someone to have. I wonder if they will rip the 3rd gen. when the 4th gen. is introduced by Lexus?
Despite my complete disgust that this is a direct clone of the RX, I do have to agree with pauljcl about the grilles next to the fog lights. It actually looks quite good considering. Interestingly enough, it looks like the clone has got the rubber painted underneath the front bumper to give it a bit more depth. I might end up painting that section on my RX at some point. The main front grille however is rather hideous.

And I thought my AWD GS sat high....good Lord that thing is off the ground. Nice to see they have bungy cords holding the spare tire underneath the back end. Will those be available at Wal-Mart?

Inasmuch as a manufacturer spends quite a bit on molds (for the metal and the plastic), and can easily make 'small' changes if it wishes before they are set, the apparent precise closeness to the actual Lexus design makes one wonder if they got some of the 'old' molds from Toyota (instead of them being scrapped).

Was curious who actually made this car in Chine, and found it to be a company by the name of Xinkai Auto for anyone that was interested

Hmm..wonder if there'll be a hybrid model...

It looks like they actually went to a Toyota/Lexus dealer and ordered the interior dash parts, and then added the crappy steering wheel and some centre console bits.

Somebody mentioned the cheesy looking dash speaker, but I think that's exactly what mine looks like (with the ML system).

Mine too. The ML system has the centre dash speaker and looks pretty much exactly the same. Of course the quality of said speaker would be interesting...........
