Hey to you all wondering what my experience was with the recall. It`s down @ my dealership as I type this, and i`m also having the auto headlight sensativity setting adjusted, and an alignment check. So I`ll let you all know what they did to mine.

Quote from the Lexus Recall Letter:
"Certain 2004 through 2007 RX 330/350/400h vehicles, if the forward retention clip used to secure the driver's side Floor Carpet Cover, which is located in front of the center console, is not installed properly, the cover may lean toward the accelerator pedal and interfere with the accelerator pedal arm. If this occurs, the accelerator pedal may temporarily become stuck in a partially depressed position rather than to the idle position. An accelerator pedal temporarily stuck in a partially depressed position may increase the risk of a crash".

I haven't heard about this floor mat clip recall either
Is the problematic clip PNC #58520C in this RX330 floor mat diagram?
It's a peculiar thing how such a seemingly benign and inconsequential piece of plastic could spur such alarming problems in the RX..

Hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like part #58534D is the part that gets replaced. There are now two clips holding it up, and it's been extended toward the front of the vehicle, so even if the clips fail, it won't fall toward the gas pedal.
It seems to me that they did something to my carpet as well, but I can't remember what it looked like before. I want to say they cut the carpet shorter, as I can see the white foam underpad above the gas and brake pedal, but it might have been like that before.
One thing I have noticed is the colour of the new panel doesn't 'quite' match, and the surface design is not exactly the same either. But, it's low down, where you can't really notice it anyway.

Okay, sorry it took me so long to get back to you guy`s (been real busy) They replaced that kick panel thing by the gas pedal, Car wash, (which I hate, because the soap they use strips off all the wax on the car) but it`s the thought that counts I guess. And filled up my tank. They also set my auto head lamp setting so the lights come on sooner. That was the only charge (48 bucks) everything else was free of charge. And I had a 2011 RX 350 to drive while they had mine : ). BTW same floor mats, so I put my weather tech mats back in. I like them better anyway, especially in the winter time. I recommend Thompson Lexus to anyone that lives in the vicinity. They have always treated me very well.

The first notification I received from Lexus advised me to make sure the two 3/4" round plastic black buttons on that kick panel were pushed in. In my case the lower button, closest to the gas pedal was loose and not secured. I pushed it in until it snapped back into place. Lexus included a diagram on this but I can't find it to post here. I any event this is what the recall is about. I need to get busy and have this done. My closest dealership is 100 miles away.
Wish there was a comparable dealer of such quality in this area of the world.
