My wifes RX330 will not stop beeping. The second you put the car in gear it beeps constantly. It's the sound the car makes when you press the "close" button on the trunk.

Any one have any ideas as to how I can stop it. I triple checked and trunk is fully closed.

Also when I press the Lock function on the key it just is a constant beep like one of the doors is open.

Sounds like a switch that might be jammed open. Have you tried checking to see if any of the doors have a switch that is jammed open or japped closed. May be causing the issue.

 

When the car is beeping does the instrument cluster show an open door or seatbelt icon?

 

I got the same problem. Google got me here.

I do have the open door icon. Rear hatch is closed but sensor thinks it’s open.

 

I don't know the fix and it hasn't happened to me but I pulled out my door chime when I first bought my car because the beeping annoyed me. Haha

If you can still lock your doors and the alarm sets, maybe you can pull the door chime until you figure it out.

You will know if the alarm sets by seeing a blinking red security light in the dash.

If you don't see that, alarm is not set and body ecu is running full blast and will probably run your battery down fast.
