Critter inside tailight housing
Was outdoors yesterday taking advantage of the balmy (to us in January anyway) weather to powerwash the RX. Noticed a small and dead spider inside the tail light housing on the back door lid, drivers side. At first I thought it was on the outside, but put the nozzle to it and looked closer; it's inside
! Anyone have an idea how it could have got inside there? Any ideas on how to get it out, without dismantling the entire lens?

Ah, you have a bug collection. I had several in the tail lights of my '04. No harm no foul. Do a search. Somewhere in here are instructions to get in there from inside the tail gate and vacuum out the little buggers. I kept mine
Good luck.
Good luck.
I'm thinking they get in there around the tailgate area, maybe where the latch is. It's a void behind the panel so they can get in to the lights easily. I wonder if that's what attracts them or they're trying to escape. I get quite a few in the summer trying to make a home on or around my RX. I try to prevent them from getting inside but it doesn't always happen. I've had some surprises while driving.
