well, i started clearing the tail lights today. i've taken off my trunk sill before, but this time, i cracked it when i took it off. the tail light is extremely dirty and it looks harder than the headlights. i do use the oven right?

 

ok, im currently getting the tail light opened up. there seem to be two pins on the far outside of the tail light... how do i get those up. i can't separate the tail light from the back of itself, and i just broke the corner of it... its not too bad, so i will ignore it for now. but how do i get these pieces opened up?

 

sh*t, well now i have run out of time. i was sorta hoping to finish at least one in 2 hours. i have a hair cut appointment in a few so im sealing it back up. i got it open except for the little really tiny screws that hold the side down. makes me mad. anyway, maybe i'll retry later today. sorta upsets me that i cracked my trunk sill and the tail light. i guess ill have to get a new sillfrom the dealer when i replace all my door sills too...

you HAVE to REMOVE those 2 tiny pins before you even wanna attempt to separate those 2 pieces. they're a b*tch to get out (try using some needle-nose pliers), but you have to remove them or else it will crack the outter lense. try heating it up in the oven and then trying to remove them so that the plastic softens up. if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

i got one out, when i was separating the piecesit pulled it out some, just enough so that the pliers could pull it out. but the other two are deep in the palsctic and wont even budge. i feel i need to do this now since i have already cracked the corner and trunk sill. ya know? anybody else have any ways of removing the pins? oh and on the inside, how do i pull out the orange, and i wanted to also pull out the thin red bar just next to it. possible?
