RX350 Antenna
Anyone know anything about repairing/replacing the antenna? A parking garage arm came down on my car and the antenna is broken. Wasn't sure if this could be a do it yourself project or the costs associated. Thanks for any help!!
I snapped off my mast during the night recently with a snow shovel. Found a replacement mast on ebay for $17.
The only problem, the threaded part of the mast broke off and was inside of the base part that remained on the roof. Needle nose pliers would not fit in between the metal shell and the threaded part to allow me to unscrew it.
Luckily, it was not stuck in there. I took a sharp nail, jammed it by hand into the flat top of the threaded part, and was able to "dial" it out counterclockwise.
Was worrying about going to the stealership and for a $700 "repair"

I don't think you would need to completely remove the headliner. First try removing the upper half of the rubber seal of the lift-gate opening, then pop out the few clips on the rear edge on the headliner. You will be able to stick your hand into the gap between the roof and the headliner.
Some time ago I had rattle in that area, I was able to gt in there and secure a loose relay right next the antenna.

Hi there, I was wondering if there were some specifics on how to remove the upper half of the rubber seal. I'd like to attempt this repair without removing the entire headliner if possible. Dealership wants $800 for what amounts to about a $20 part.
