Default Return to NAV Legal Screen?

Whenever I turn my car on, the Legal Mumbo Jumbo Screen for the Navagation pops up. I have to hit Audio or Climate to go back to those two screens or press the Accept button - even if I was on the Audio or climate control screen prior to turning off the car.

I swear it didn't used to do this but started doing it about three months ago.

I do not have the transition screen option on (where it returns to NAV).

Thoughts?

Doug

it has been doing it ever since day one for me. Like it is it's a legal screen so it should be there. Maybe the dealer updated the software if you were in recently?

I dunno - maybe I never noticed. I just wish that it would return to the audio/climate/wherever I left it. I know that if I press the audio button it doesn't require me to agree to the silly agreement, that's what is so frustrating.

Don't feel bad... It happens on all the aftermarket Navi systems too.

You can thank all the law-suit-happy people in this country for that screen.

I understand it returning to that screen if you want to be on the map or the NAV screen, but why doesn't the screen return to audio/climate if that is where you left it? Those screens don't require the OK to the DUH screen, so I just don't understand why they keep returning to that silly screen after the car has been off.

Mine's the hard drive version (2000) and it doesn't make me accept on starting the car if I left my car in audio or climate when I turned it off.
