Default registering RX with Lexus??

Hello,
I have read a few posts in which they state to register your vehicle on the Lexus website to get information about previous service, bulletins, etc. Is this true? If so, may I get the link for this feature. I have checked on Lexus.ca and I cannot locate this.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Chris

it doesnt work quite the same for us canadians,

up here it is illegal to share previous car history without consent from the previous owner. and even then, it is really hard to get it.

There's nothing shared with you but the dealer's service work done, recalls, etc. all official Lexus work. And you can input the things you have done.

I imported my RX from the U.S. and was able to learn a bit more about it's history by registering. The records with the vehicle were not complete but the registry showed regular service was performed. Also was able to confirm that it had a small accident just after it was purchased new, which was not captured by Carfax.

An accident captured by the Lexus report? Wow that's new.

Default Registering RX with Lexus

I followed the link provided on this page and was able to confirm the registration of my 2002 RX with Lexus
When I bought the car from the Lexus dealer in 2009 I immediately sent in the "Change of Ownership" card that was in the Owners Manual.
Upon entering my e-mail address the Lexus registration site immediately brought up my RX based on the VIN number I had entered on the "Change of Ownership" form
From there I was able to download the complete service history of my RX. The original owners had all the service performed at their selling dealer and the records of those services were in the Lexus data base.
The Lexus dealer I bought the car from had already provided me with the service records however it was great to have confirmation of the records direct from Lexus.
I recommend to any Lexus owner who has a "pre-owned" Lexus to avail themselves of this free service.

Right you are! It is also nice that Lexus allows the owner to input information. I have added minor maintenance performed by my Toyota dealer and new tire installation performed at Costco.

I used the service history to bust my dealer to report them claiming touch up was done to the car prior for me to pickup but in fact nothing was done. So I made a call to Lexus Corporate, complain about the dealer, I ended up getting air brush touch up from the dealer for free and they had to reapply the Xilon coating(this will be 2nd coat) which cost the dealer about $350ish just for parts and labor and if you add the airbrush touch up, it's another $200 or so. So big yes to sign up for online service history, knowledge is power !!

On the Lexus Canada site, you need to register under the 'Club Lexus' link. However, before you can actually see your vehicle once registered there, you have to call Lexus Canada and have yourself and VIN added to their database. You will then be able to see your vehicle (within a few days anyway) at Club Lexus, and yes it will show you any outstanding recall or 'service campaigns' as well as any maintenance done, as long as it was done at a Lexus dealer.

I would suggest, however, that while you're on the phone with Lexus Canada, you just ask them if there are any outstanding recalls/service campaigns (in addition to adding you to the database so you can use Club Lexus). This is how I found out about the campaign to have the steering rack replaced on my 400h.

Trouble with this site is that it doesn't revel the complete entry. There are several that are cut short like this one:

Dealer Reported 09/25/2007 Lexus of Peoria 7304 0068460 FOUND SEVERAL ADJUSTMENTS NEEDING TO BE MADE AFTER TRANSMISSION REPLACED REPAIRE

I don't know exactly what this means. Was the entire trans replaced or was just an adjustment made? The entry is cut short at REPAIRE...
