Question regarding the Seek Track button on the standard 2004 RX330 stereo. Have owned the car since new and have rarely if ever used this button on the stereo. I am the only driver. Usually, I just use the stereo controls on the steering wheel. The other day I decided to use that button to change tracks and noticed that while playing a CD I could use the Up arrow part of the button to skip forward through a CD, but I could not use the Down arrow to go backwards. The controls on the steering wheel work fine. Stereo works fine otherwise.

Before I go shooting contact cleaner in there I thought I would ask here if anyone had experienced a similar problem or had a different suggestion for a remedy. With my luck I would use grab a product from the office which would dissolve half my console.

Any input is appreciated.

 

Probably dirty contacts, I do not know how to remove the pad switches...
