I need help with picking new tires for my 2007 RX350 with 18" wheels. It is FWD
I am so confused. It seems like I get a different recommendation from every place I call.
Here is what has been recommended so far
hankook rh07 They would cost me $575 total from the local tire shop
Michelin energy mxv4 s8 which would be $901 total @ Costco
Michelin pilot mxm4 $235 each @ at Costco
Bridgestone HL Elenza $168 each @ Costco
Or if someone could recommend something else. I want the best tire I can put on it.
Yokohama's x 2. The Alenza's are good, too. Do a search on tires here, you will see a lot of posts.
Tirerack will give you an installed cost. Compare and decide.
If it were me, I will go to Costco and get it done, no hassle. Go for Bridgestone Alenza's. Same OEM size (235-55-18's right?) but the footprint is bigger according to members who have them as shoes. If you get a decent set, it will be around $700 max. The Alenza's is right there.
go to tire rack .com and read reviews on all those tires,
it also depends on what you want out of them, will they be used in snow? mostly highway?
also, what do you want out of them? queit ride? traction/grip? longevitiy?
there is alot to choosing a tire.
my advice would be stay away from michelin unless you want to replace them often, they are very soft. they give great reviews, except on mileage.
THANK YOU!!!
I live in Los Angeles so I do not have snow to worry about, just lots of pot holes. I just want a nice ride that is queit and good traction and will last a long time. Is that too much to ask for all those things?
