Hello, I dont know if I did something to my 2005rx330 because the passenger air bag light is on and that it is turned off. Does anyone know how to reset or turn it on.

Air bags are warranted for a long time, call your dealer.

 

There is no re-set procedure for a safety component like air bags.

 

Is there something other then a child on the seat? There is a sensor if weight is on the seat that turns the bag off thinking a child might be sitting in the seat.

 

I did not think our RX's had that feature about the weight, etc. on the passenger seat for activation-deactivation of the air bag. Does it have it?

 

It is correct that the r/f seat has weight sensors in it. The logic is a little fuzzy but at or under around 100lbs. Under 100 the airbag is turned off because the car thinks a child is in the seat. There is nothing any lexus dealer can do about it.

 

Funny thing is the light will show airbag off even if you put a briefcase or bag of groceries on the seat.

 

My or RX must have it, because everytime one of my kids sits inthe passenger seat or I have something on the seat that weights 20 lbs or so, the air bag light saying off illuminates.

 

yep! the light came up in my car the other night. I had my work out bag with a basketball in it. Light turned off soon as I took the bag off the seat.
