Silly question - maybe answered before.

I just got my 2008 RX350. Happy with it so far. But there doesn't seem to be a low fuel indicator when you get down to 2 or 3 gallons in the tank? Or did I miss it somewhere? I see the information on the trip computer - cruising miles left. But would like a little light on the dash as well.

The low fuel indicator will appear with approximately 3 gallons remaining. It will appear in the MPH gauge circle. It is orange/yellow, looks like a fuel pump.

 

When the light comes on I have driven as much as 50 miles.

 

+1 Rainbird, you can still drive around 50 miles

 

Thanks - I will keep an eye out for it.

BTW - it's not mentioned in the owner's manual at all (with the other indicators and warning lights).

looks like a fuel pump? on every other car ive ever owned yes, but on my 07 RX its just a small round light bulb on the gauge that illuminates yellow. does the job equally as good, haha

 

mine is a small yellow dot. It is placed very poorly--if you are a tall guy the steering wheel completely covers it. I actually ran out of gas once because I could not see it lit up.

 

Yes - I've found it now. It is just a small yellow/orange dot. And it is near the fuel gauge.

You just had to drive around with little to no fuel for it to come on huh?
