The bright side is that it's so full of "lead" that it can't move.

If you read the article, the front was copied from Buick....LOL, the Chinese created a real Hydrid vehicle....

Not sure what the interior looks like, may be it copied from Benz as well

At first, i was like "This isn't a RX" until i saw the back side of it.
Wow, i find this hilarious though.

The best part

"this vehicle is powered by an engine that generates 85 kW (103 horsepower), 170 Nm (125 pound-feet of torque)"

LOL....The engine must come from regular type "Mini Cooper". Since all of our car's parts are made in China, these companies don't even need to invest any money in creating tools/molds to make these parts, they just buy them off the streets, put them together and it become a knock off car.

Yes, this is a blatant case of "fraud" and clear copy. It looks almost like they literally took the two vehicles, cut them in half, and pasted the together. They couldn't have done a better job had they used photoshop. With that said, how do you define "copy" when you talk about design in automobiles? At some angles, every car has some resemblance to another vehicle. We're not talking about cartoon drawings of Mickey Mouse, which are intellectual property, we're talking design of a vehicle which is obscure and subjective at best. We say the rear LOOKS like the RX, but NCV would say it's just a "similiar" design. The front end is a Torrent, but the grill could be itself a copy of the BMW kidney bean grill... who's to say who copied what?

Automotive designs have always followed a "pattern" historically, and there has been copying by everyone. What the Chinese are going through now is exactly what the Japanese went through 30 years ago, copy until you get better, and then release more products that define yourselves.

Well said, the Japanese used to copy other company's technology in the 60s. The Koreans copy other car manufacturers 10-15 years ago, now its the Chinese's turn. It is easier and cheaper to copy technology than to invent them.

Exactly. Just follow the formula for success. Why from the start, try to be creative and possibly fail. Your main objective as a manufacturer, is to make money. Do what's working, get capital, then start being creative and develop your own brand and flava. Same will happen with the Indian's if and when TaTa buys Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford. They'll be conservative at first, and hopefully through success, they'll get better.
