Hi guys. I've been emailing salesmen in the MD area for an 08 RX350 AWD with Nav, Premium Plus and Heated Seats with Rain Sensing Wipers. The price that I've got is 40,769. I am told that this is the invoice price although on KBB it states that it is 39,132. The price I've recieved seems to be the "current market value." Anyway, I just wanted to get some advice from people in the know as this will be my first Lexus purchase. Thank you in advance for your help.

That is probably the invoice for the AWD with holdback, advertising and other dealer required contributions thrown in. I was shown invoice and it was 40769.
Dont forget that most of the time the inovice price on edmunds.com is usually correct. the dealer also has a printout that can show the invoice price, plus all the $$$ they make such as dealer holdback, wholesale reserve, etc. any honest dealer will show you the printout with the invoice price and go from there.
The Edmund inovice price is more accurate. On Edmund, it show your car's invoice at $39713. Add another $600 bucks or so for the Toyota advertising fee and the price that was given to you is pretty close.
The 08 is out already and the Edmunds invoice price does not include Toyota advertising fee.

Edmunds is an Independant site that breaks down the cost of a Car to it Nuts and bolts ........ It doesn't include anything that isn't on the Vehicle.......... BUT, what I don't understand is that when you do the TMV from Edmunds it shows you the MSRP the Invoice and the TMV ( which is what people are Paying in your area according to Zipcode!!!) If Edmunds is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Correct with the Invoice ............. WHY aren't you willing to pay the TMV according to Edmunds for your area??????? .......... I, ( as a Sales Consultant ) sould give you Thousands of $$$$$$ Off because Edmunds says the Invoice is this ............ and the same sorce says "........ People in your area are Paying $$$$$$$$$ for that vehicle" ????? What Give's ...............
Sorry Just ranting again........

I believe the package you cited is MSRP $45706 ? ... if so, 10% off MSRP sounds pretty good to me. I don't believe anyone (I've heard/read) has gone sub 40K for the '08 AWD w/Nav, but more power to you if you do. GL with your purchase, the car is great.Originally Posted by MDLexusMD

If the invoice is "Unquestionably" Correct ... what's the problem with the TMV .......... How can one be so right and the other so wrong on the same website right next to each other ......... What they research the Invoice and guess at the TMV .......... I would think if one were to swear by then the other would be also ....... Correct????Originally Posted by The G Man
The TMV on Edmunds is not accurate.
The TMV is a survey of what buyer paid for that vehicle and we all know that serveys are not always accurate.
