Doesn't work on my 2008 RX350. I don't hear anything when I click on the upper left or lower left in the "Volume Menu" and never get to the Service Menu.

 

Of course it will not work on 2008 RX350! This method will not work on Lexus Nav version 6.1 in 2007 and 2008 lexus models. I thought this topic has been bitten to death .

Perhaps his 2007 RX Lexus has ver 5.1nav? Spotnsabby,can you confirm?

 

It will work only on 07 RX350 if it was manufactured before Aug 2006 because they have ver 5.1 NAV.
Any RX350 after that month have the new version of navigation and the override will not work. I made a hybrid DVD for the override and it works like a charm , have access to the GPS override menu even while driving.

You are correct, sama. The creation of hybrid nav dvd, an alternative method to overide nav locked out while moving, has been well discussed in the Lexus IS forum. It has been confirmed to work flawlessly, as well. The important footnote is: one needs to have both the lexus nav dvd ver 5.1 and 6.1 to do this. Given that you already have one of the two versions, you will buy the other version from Lexus. Cost is around $200.
