Default loose ignition switch??

Although I only have about 330 miles on my 2006 RX 400h, I have experienced about 3 - 4 times of inability to turn the ignition key and have almost been stranded.
I turn the key as usual, but the key will not move all the way as if blocked.
I then turn the key in combinations of laterally and pushing in and out... the key still stops as if blocked.
Finally, the key does move all the way and I can start the engine.
Does this seem to be a loose ignition switch?
It is too early for me to go in for my 30 day check but if I am in danger of being stranded, I would do that.
I also have noticed that sometimes it takes 20 seconds for the Ready signal to light up.. this is longer than a relative's RX 400h.
