Default 04 vs 05 NAV Comparisons?

Anyone compare the 04 NAV to the 05 NAV? Are the menus/features the same?

The owners webpage on the Lexus site has a navigation tutorial that describes much more features than what I have on my 04?

I had an '04 ES330 for three months with nav and an '05 for 6 weeks now with nav and I don't recall any differences, at least none that stand out.

There are visible differences in the colors and the appearance of some screens. The biggest difference is that it's voice-activated in the '05.

You can see the '05 version on the Lexus web site, as JL pointed out:
http://www.lexus.com/models/rx/interior.html#dvdnav

Here are some things that jumped out at me as new in the Web site tutorial:
- Inset screen mode: side-by-side views of your current location, with the ability to have separate zoom levels
- Option to view current location with lat/long and address on the screen continuously
- Smallest level of zoom = 75 ftt
- Building outlines on the map, where available
- Name and address of said buildings, where available
- Select a destination by phone number or lat/long

There's another thread (here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=136994) where we're waiting to see what happens if you buy the new '05 DVD and put it in an '04 system. Obviously, the '04 won't be voice-activated, because there's more to that than software. Ideally, the rest of the changes would be applied.

From another forum: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...howtopic=14554

Looks like Gen 3 NAV(04 model year) will not look like Gen 4(05 model year) using the latest DVD NAV updated.
