Mudguards
I know that there was a thread a while back concerning whether mudguards were available for the RX330, and the general consensus was that they were not.
However, I was at the Lexus Taste of Luxury event in NJ this past weekend, and on my way out I picked up the 2005 Lexus Accessories brochure. Much to my surprise, it lists mudguards as being available for the RX330 (as a matter of fact, it is the only Lexus vehicle that offers mudguards as an accessory).
I did find them listed on www.lexus-parts.com for $100, but there were not any pictures or information. With the shape of the RX and the large 18" wheels, it seems that they would help keep the vehicle at least a little cleaner.
Has anyone gotten these yet, and would you recommend them?

Mud flaps
I just purchased a set of mud flaps at the Canadian dealer after the Michigan dealer could not locate them for my RX330. They take about 10 minutes per wheel to install and fit the lower body panels exactly. Looks like they should have come with the vehicle.
I took each wheel off to get the drill in nice and square. Don't worry about drilling...you are going into plastic and just sliding on a couple of thread holders. Nothing to it. One screw from the bottom up and that's it. I found the front mud flaps even used the existing holes holding the splash panels.
They sure keep a lot of spray off the doors such as dried worms, grease, and tar. Price was $100 CDN $ or about $75 US$. They are made in Canada and come compete with all screws, clips and detailed directions.

Side View
Mudguard side view. Sorry to be so late in posting pics, but was out of town. As you can see, they integrate well into the body design and do not stand out - all while providing protection against dirt and gravel thrown up by the wheels. Though the instructions are clear, do measure twice and drill once! It is real easy to have it shift while measuring, so I drilled one hole, temporaily mounted it and then marked and drilled the remaining hole(s).
