I don't know if you have ever driven in fog with white light. The light will bounce back to your eyes in the fog so you can't see jack. The halogen light or yellow fog light actually work better in foggy weather. I wish that I could turn my RX300's HID off and just leave the halogen fog lights on in such condition.

Then again, if there's no fog in your area, go with the look, not the function.

Definitely the 55-watt. The 84-watt is illegal for street use and will burn out your stock wiring.

I purchased the 9006 PIAA Extreme White for the fogs, the PIAA Wedge bulb in blue/purple, and I have a pair of new in box CATZ Galaxy White in a 9005 (recently discontinued). I have not installed any of them, but I think it will look good. My buddy put the 9005 in the stock housing of his Integra, and it looks great .... blinding to the oncomming traffic though. I know that the PIAA lights will not be a match, but I think anything would be better than the stock color, and the wedge will help a lot too. By installing the CATZ in the high beam slot, will it change the color of the DRL? Any thoughts welcome.

I have a 2000 RX300 and i changed my low beams and fog lights to the "REAL" Hid.. 6000K Philips Ultinon. Each bulb costed like $130 each so i had 4 total (2 for low beams and 2 for fog). With the "smart" modification, it rained so hard couple days ago here in California at night. I couldnt' see anything at allll... like nothing.... so be careful.. But if there is no rain or fog, these HID's are so good. but during bad weather, no light is seen.

Look underneath the bumper it was covered up by plastic make it impossible to reach up and change the fog light bulb but I can see it is right there!! There is actually a hole for you to reach up but still blocked by other stuffs. Maybe mine was equipped with the headlamp washers which ends up all the extra parts underneath the bumper. Looks like the only way is to unscrew the plastic cover underneath the front bumper but looks like too much for me. Anyone have any better idea? As for the headlight bulbs its even worst, cause it was all cover up after open the hood.

question:
I have a set, from my MDX, that I want to put in my wife's Rx330. I want to change the DRL's. The manual says 9005's 55W. The set I have are MTEC's but they say 65W draw. Can I still use them? Is this going to cause a problem? Do they have to be 55w exactly?
I understand the 84W's won't work, but what about these 65W's?
Thanks!
