Just got the car back from the dealer and no more noise!!!!

 

Do either of you know if in fact the entire dash panel has to be removed to fix this problem??

What TSIB did he use to get rid of the rattles?

 

Dont know what was done, just that it seems to be fixed

 

Called my dealer to get it fixed & they ask me to give them 30 more days. He said they did a few repairs to their loaners & they want to make sure this works. I'll give them their 30 days but this rattle is driving us nuts. They said that 90% of their customers have this problem.

He said they would have to remove the whole dash & since so many people are complaining they don't want to do it & not have it work.
Any comments about this stall?

 

Had mine fixed. Dealer told me dash did not have to be removed. The noise is gone for now.

there is a rattle in the dashboard of my rx330. around the area of the front windshield defroster vents. and btw, its only a loaner car. its not even mine and i noticed a rattle in the dashboard!!!!!

 

Dealer said they have the fix & to bring it in next week. They said they have to remove the dash completely. It sure will be great if this fixes it??

 

SUV has been in 2 days now. They called today & said the dash was out completely & they would be insulating everything tomorrow before putting it back together.
Hope this is it, then we drive a quite new car.

 

Dealer called this afternoon & said they got the dash back on & it rattles like before. They will take it out again he said maybe next Monday or Tuesday I could get it back.

KEEP IT TILL IT'S RIGHT, WE HAVE THEIR LONER SO JUST FIX IT!

 

I take my car in tomorrow; I will report the part numbers and areas they worked on to get rid of the noise.

i had the dash rattle big time and then one day it 90 percent went away. not worth having the dash pulled for the amount of noise now. it only makes a rattle on a big time bump. hope it stays this way. if it goes back to the way it was i would definitlely have the dash pulled to fix it. this car is so quiet a rattle of that nature takes all the fun out of it.

 

After a couple of quiet months the dash rattle is back. Appontment in August

 

Dealer had the SUV for 7 days. They said they had complete dash out, put it back in & it still was bad so they pulled it out again.
Picked it up today & no rattle all the way home which was 35 miles on country roads. We will keep our fingers crossed.
