Got a leak on the resonator (the muffler lookin pipe before the actual muffler) and was wondering if drone would be an issue if I just removed it and put in a pipe. for time and money sake. Would flow improve from this as well? Keeping stock muffler as this is my daily and it doesn't need to be loud.

Cheers
Been there done that and that will work and it will not be loud with stock muffler, which is not direct flow. On flow it should be okay, never felt much of an issue there.
If by chance you had a direct flow muffler on back and no resonator, prepare for one of the oddest sounds every coming from a vehicle. I did that for one single day and it set off car alarms and sounded like miniature thunder claps.

Feel free to ask about these things with impunity, because I went through major trial and error with my RX300 not just on sound but track performance to see the results.
