Default rx300 1999 door lock problems

Hello i just bought a RX300 1999 and i got only one key without remote. the door lock/unlock switches on the drivers and passenger door panel work great.
the problem is with the key cylinder in the doors. since a haven't got a key with remote, i really wish i could open/close all doors with the keyblade. when i open the driver side with the keyblade, only that side opens, same with the passenger door.
where can i start looking? thank you

Do you observe anything by holding the key blade in un-lock and later lock for say 5 seconds?

The key cylinder has electrical connectors and they control un-lock all and few other features. It could be that there is programming [C best programming ... need to visit dealer or Toyota] or some malfunction.

Please read through sticky threads. It is bad to have no master key and pretty risky to have only one key.

Windows may already be up. So how about holding at unlock.
After locking all doors, how about two consecutive unlock key action.

The above tests will check if the electrical [non-RF] system is working.

what I did was, buy a key on ebay, and had it cut at Ace Hardware. key was about $20, key cut $10. You better hope you have a master key LOL. Does it open the glovebox ?

i found the problem. last owner hardwired the DCC short slot in the fuse box to only deliver power to the modules with the ignition on.
i assume that he was having a parasitic drain and opted for this stupid solution.
anyways, my valet key now opens all doors. can i program a keyless remote with the valet key? not to start the car, only to open/close doors.

I think you are not getting any replies because no one has tested this process.

For sure you can not program the imobilizer with a valet key.

Suggestion: Look up in other Lexus model forums as well of the same years.
