Need help programming the remote door lock/unlock on the new remote key I got. (Ignition programming already done and working)

Because of the door lock actuator problem, dealer cannot program the remote. 3 out of 5 on/off pressing on the door button on the driver door, results in stucked door lock(didnt move). Hence they said remote cannot be programmed.
I saw the remote programming instruction calls for pressing door button 5 times.

Is it true that a new remote key cannot be programmed for door lock/unlock because of driver door actuator problem?
No other workaround(say if I manually flip the door lock to lock/unlock position every time it stucks)?

The ignition portion of the programming works so I can start the car ok with the new key.

imho, this is not an issue with programming. The hardware is the root cause and a confirmation that the door is locked is needed for a function to compete.

In last few years, there has been an after-market door lock actuator for first gen RX. The motor replacement has been a well established fix for the RX and GS.

Note for readers: A new remote necessitates re-programming. Please do not go into reprogramming without confirming the hardware is functioning properly. Also there are tow different programs for a) remote lock/unlock and b) registering a key. Tread with caution.

I don't think the actuator makes it fail.
Use finger to manually move lock if you think it matters.
